Raja Yoga

What is Raja Yoga, you may ask.

Raja in Sanskrit mean king, Yoga mean union, or yoke. When both words are placed together, the meaning is so powerful. A king acts with independence, self-confidence, and assurance. In this practice there are 8 principles limbs to help you in your journey.

  1. Yama- self Control

  2. Niyama- discipline

  3. Asana- yoga Poses, physical exercises

  4. Pranayama- breathwork exercises

  5. Pratyahara- withdrawal of senses from external

  6. Dharana- concentration

  7. Dhyana- mediation

  8. Samadhi- complete realization

Reason I love this practice, there is no wrong or right its a continue practice never-ending. You do not have to complete them. I have learn to always be a growing individual, I am always a student then a teacher then back to student. I love learning in my practice taking my time, not rushing and learning what is great in my raja yoga practice.

I encourage you my fellow yogi’s try one word and focus on a little bit or for a while, currently as of today I am working on Dhyana and Niyama right now. But in my class I accidently put these principles in your practice. I got you, sending love, light and peace my beautiful people.
